First things first: We were
originally supposed to be in Uganda this month, but due to an Ebola outbreak,
we are remaining in Kenya for a second month.

While in Kenya, we’ve been staying with Bishop Peter who has
really taken the Great Commission to heart. He has started around 75 churches
in the area, many of which are in the remote villages in the “interior”. His
heart is that everyone would come to know his/her creator.

Much of our time here has been spent taking long motorcycle
rides into the remote areas and going door to door to church members’ homes to
pray and encourage them.

It was starting to feel rather redundant and a waste of
time. Then one night, I was washing my feet (one thing I’ve learned about
myself on the race is that I cannot stand to go to bed with dirty feet), and
Peter sat down to talk to me. He began telling me how great our work has been.
The pastors from each village have called Peter thanking him so much for the
revival that we have started in their areas.

It may not seem important to me, but to the Kenyans, to have
an American in their home is a great honor. After travelling such a long way to
Africa, the fact that we are willing to visit them in their homes gives them a
feeling of importance and encouragement. God loves them so much that he sent a
group of six women all the way from America to their tiny home in an extremely
remote village in Africa, just to sit and talk.

It may not seem like much to us, but to the people here, it
means everything. Below is a letter we received from one of the pastors in a
small village here, thanking us for the time we spent with his church,
expressing just how much our time here has meant to him.

Congratulation Message

We wish to thank you dear sisters in Christ. You have toiled
all that way through ups and downs, hills and valleys, over other uncomfortable
zones to get here, dear ones of the Lord. We have realized your presence, since
you arrived here at CFEM ministry station because much has been done especially
to our mission church, down to other churches in a special way.

If it were to alter anything, we would say that let God of
mercy protect, empower, and fill your spirit with His word of love, peace, and
joy so that you may divulge it to the remnants of God who are being despised
and vomited out of the love of this world.

From our point of view, we didn’t imagine that God could
bring His anointed dear ones to such a small remorseful church, but He has
penetrated through all barriers and the word of God has shone in this church.
The message was real good, even the little we anticipated turned out to be a
cloud of praise and joy.

Last but not least, we know you shall have a long way to go
for your missionary trip, but we pray let Lord of Peace impart you avid life,
good health and sound doctrine to enable you to come to your anticipated
mountain of God.

May God of Peace richly bless you as you leave us, with
tears of joy and love.

We wish you a happy and prosperous, spiritual race all over
the world. Amen.

Yours in Christ

Pastor Andrew
