This past sunday my pastor spoke about unanswered prayers and it was such a powerful message and really opened my eyes to God’s calling for me and my growth with Him. He talked about how God could delay, disguise, or deny your prayer. Looking at the recent events in my life I can see how God denied one request and opened a HUGE door for me, that being the World Race. For the longest time I was praying for something and as time went on God was showing me that was not what He had planned for me but I did not want to see that and just kept praying for this thing. Then God closed that door but when I turned around He had opened this amazing door that I have never felt so passionate about. Something I always try to remind myself is that God always has a bigger and better plan for us; it may not be the easiest or happiest but it will be so rewarding.

As the first deadline is coming up and I am looking at the money I have raised and how much I need to have by September 26th and I start to feel nervous but my pastor told us some pretty awesome verses that I found comfort in.

“I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life. And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.” – 1 John 5:13-15

God truly showed me that I just have to lay the fundraising in His hand because on Sunday I had two people give me each one hundred dollars. I cannot explain how incredibly crazy how everything is just falling into place for this trip and it all goes to God. I cannot wait to be leaving the comfort of my home and all to live out of a backpack and spread the amazing love God has and help build His kingdom.

I ask that y’all please continue to help support my trip through money and prayer. I can not tell you how thankful I am for those who have donated or are going to donate. You are not just helping me but you are touching the lives of everyone that I come in contact with right now and over there.
