Hi, my name is Stacie Wilson and I am 23 but will turn 24 in November. I am born and raised in Danville, VA, which is right on the border of VA and NC. A year ago I graduated from Sweet Briar College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and I have been working on my masters in Family and Marriage Therapy from Liberty University, which I will be putting on hold till I get back from the race. I work at a Residential Crisis Stabilization Center and have been working there for a year now.

Graduation May 2013: Me, friend, professor, and friend

I have a great family who supports and loves me dearly and I am so thankful to have them. My family consist of my mom, Sandy, my brother, Justin and his wife Katie, my father, Brian and his wife Wendy and her two sons Josh and Caleb. Also I am blessed with two grandmas, one grandfather, four aunts, three uncles, and eight cousins. And I can’t forget our two amazing little puppies Hershey and Rusty. Along with wonderful family, I have been blessed with some pretty awesome friends who are supportive and loving towards me. I know everyone says it but I truly think my family is the best and I am so thankful to have them.

Brother’s Wedding: My mother, sister-in-law, brother, father, and me

I have done short mission trips to Uganda, Nicaragua, New York City, and a village in Alaska. I have also been able to do some traveling to different countries through vacations and trips. But I have never been out of the country over 2 weeks, so this will be a challenge but also an adventure of a life time. I am so grateful and excited about being accepted to do the World Race and can’t wait till Jan. 2015.

Just a couple of things I enjoy is spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy reading, even though I don’t do it as much as I like. I love hanging out with my dogs and playing with them. I like being outside and spending time in God’s amazing creation. I do enjoy surfing the web and watching all different shows and movies. I love trying new things and just enjoying life.
