The rest of our squad is in Romania!! As leaders were leaving a meeting this afternoon and walking toward the street, we saw a train of hardcore backpackers, with sweet dripping from every part of their body, drudging through streets in hopes of finding a resting point. We come running toward them with excitement and energy…fully knowing how they feel because we were in their shoes yesterday…taking some of their packs to lessen the weight.
I will keep this individual's identity a secret, but his sweat-fest is only the beginning.

Over the past 2 days the team leaders have had a much needed time of bonding and learning how to build eachother up, as we are a team in and of ourselves. Now our teammates have arrived and we have to break some news to the already exhausted and somewhat emotional groups. Due to the loss of 3 people from our squad for various reasons, teams were readjusted. This was the first thing, after hugs, that was introduced to the squad. My team remained the same with the exception of Emily Schlichting. I posted a blog a few days ago about Emily and her struggle to raise support for this trip and she has decided to shoot for a later trip. This was quite sad to hear about. Within Team 14 Feet, I know we will create so many growing opportunities within eachother, concerning our spiritual walk, our demeanor, our character traits.
After much encouragement from field support, squad leaders, and Q squad leaders (who have 2 weeks left on the race and are in Romania for their last month), learning how to use lei (Romanian money) because we went way over our lunch budget due to misunderstanding, dinner with my teammates, worship at the park, and grocery shopping for 44 people for tomorrow, I'm ready to rest. To rest in God, to rest in His peace, to rest my physical body and mind, and to rest in the confidence that God is with me always and will continue to refresh me when it's needed.
