Launch is right around the corner!! Sunday, July 10 I will be leaving for Bucharest, Romania. We will spend a week in Romania for some training then my team of 7 will head to Uzice, Serbia from July 16 to August 16.
Birthday party in Serbia this year! 🙂 Three teams will be in Bulgaria and 3 others in Moldova…we are the lone rangers in Serbia. We will be working with a ministry called YWAM Uzice (http://www.ywamserbia.com). This ministry is a pioneering ministry so there will be lots of opportunities to listen to God. This month my team will be sleeping in tents with access to a kitchen and bathroom…buying and making our own food this month. Every team is different. Some are in youth buildings, offices, apartments, and tents. Some get food provided by the contact and prepared, some get food provided and they have to prepare it, and like us, we buy and prepare our own food. One HUGE miracle needs to happen before launch though. One of my team members, Emily Schlichting, is in the RED for support money needed to launch on Sunday.
Emily is such a sweet girl and I'm so excited I had the chance to spend time with her at training camp and get-to-know her never-ending willingness to jump right in and her constant smile. She definitely shines God's light! Emily is currently at $6,100 right now and needs $6,500 to launch…along with much more to continue on this journey. I was saddened so much to hear that Emily will have to drop the race due to insufficient funds, and realized that I haven't been doing anything to help her because I've been working so hard on my own funding. This is a last cry for an amazing person…one of my new family members…to join in this year-long ministry.
