I’ve been at training camp for the past week, and it has been so amazing! We are camping in the wilderness in Georgia, literally the wilderness. Our cabins do not have electricity, but thankfully we have running water to take showers and stay hydrated. I have been so blessed by the relationships that I have built with my squad so far. There are so many people here that remind me of my best friends. I truly believe that God hand-picked this squad to form together in complete unity. We will be finding out our teams within the next few days so please continue to pour out prayer on that process.

It has been a week of moving past ourselves in order to bring the Kingdom to others. One thing that we have really been talking about this week is the value of intentionally love our brothers and sisters in Christ and valuing their needs and desires above ourselves. Last night, we received news that an October ’09 racer is ill with spinal malaria in Nigeria. I truly saw God come alive in the spirits of the June and July squad, 120 people, at our training camp. After we found out about Lindsey’s illness, the agenda of our leaders’ dissipated. Every person in our camp no longer thought about their hunger, no longer thought about the bugs that have swarmed us, and no longer thought about the craziness of our schedule for the week. 120 people of the Lord compassionately and wholeheartedly poured out their hearts in prayer for a girl that we have never met, but who we love because she is a part of our family and our sister in Christ. I’ve asked God for a spirit of compassion and ability to spread love unconditionally. God is showing me the importance of selflessness and loving others wholeheartedly. We haven’t had much time to blog, but I will give a more detailed account of training camp when I get the chance. Thank you so much for your love and support. Much love!
