I met Jesus on a balcony this morning. Yesterday, I met Him in a tattoo parlor. The day before that, I met Him in a room full of World Racers that are leaving for the mission field today. And, the day before that, I met Him through a friend that spoke incredible confirmation of the prayers that I’ve sent to pound on Heaven’s door lately; it was like she could sense every ounce of doubt and frustration that I had in my heart. Jesus told her; He was there.

I’ve been in Gainesville, Georgia [which is where the main office of the World Race is located]. As I write this, I’m sitting on a bunk-bed that is normally occupied by a sweet friend named Sami. There are multiple people that reside in this house, 9 I think; they share rooms and cars and do life together. These are people that truly believe the world can be changed. They’ve been on the World Race and seen the Lord do incredible things in the nations. They’ve been radically transformed into believers that are giving their life away to mobilize this generation to shake the world with the love of Christ.
I don’t know all their names or all their stories, but I know their hearts. They are people that are being Jesus to this generation, and ultimately to the world. They have placed themselves in the position of being a cheerleader. Knowing that the recognition might be small, they have taken on the task of being the hands and feet of Christ in an office cubicle, so that others can be the hands and feet in the world. They gladly listen to meltdowns and doubts and ridiculous questions. They joyfully set up meetings and teachings and interviews and ministry sites. But, at the end of the day, it isn’t about all of the tasks. It’s about the fact that they have spoken truth and life into hundreds of young adults. They have walked alongside many missionaries and helped them look fear in the eye, all the while saying “yeah right…that fear just won’t work. God has too much for you. He believes in you and I believe in you. Do you believe in you?”
I’ve realized that my thank you’s have been few and far between, and that I’ve more often than not taken for granted the incredible people that have chosen to believe in me. So, I’m just wondering if you’ve said thank you today? Have you thought about the ridiculous amount of work that goes into equipping each squad to bring Kingdom? You should 🙂
