The next country we will visit is the Dominican Republic. The Dominican Republic is well-known for two things, their beautiful beaches and their involvement in the drug trade. Awesome and not so awesome :). The most prominent sport is baseball, and the language is Spanish. The Dominican Republic is a predominantly Christian nation. After the earthquake hit Haiti, many Haitians migrated to the Dominican Republic. Although, many Haitians illegally immigrated to the Dominican Republic prior to the earthquake, because Haiti is a much poorer nation. I’m pretty certain that we will be doing disaster relief in the Dominican Republic, as well as Haiti. We will also be living in tents in the Dominican Republic :).
