The camp is identical to any camp you would find in the Rocky Mountains. There are dorm beds for over 100 people, a mess hall, private residences, and even a 2 bedroom rustic log cabin on the property.  Our team was given a 4-bedroom house to stay in for the month. The house has all of the amenities that you would find in America, and I even lucked out with my own bedroom. The camp has a 4 wheeler, John Deer tractor and an awesome Dacia truck.  I was given a chance to drive the truck to town to get groceries the only problem was you had to bump it to start it.  I was excited, the countless times I have bumped dirt bikes in the past was about to pay off.  I got the truck running right away and was named the official driver for the month.  Driving in Romania is an adventure you never know what’s going to be on the road next anything from sheep, to tractors, carts pulled by donkeys, chickens, dogs, ect…
After getting use to life on a Romanian camp, we went over our tasks for the month.  The first job we decided to tackle was sanding and staining the log cabin. As a team we spent the morning sanding and got an idea of what we were getting into, a month long project.  I still can’t get over the irony.  After traveling to the other side of the world I end up in a mountainous region sanding and staining a log cabin. With excitement came frustration but I know by the end of the project it will be the best looking cabin in all of Romania.
