Training camp was amazing! I can’t even begin to explain all that happened both externally and internally to me during the 10 days that I was there, but it was transformative. One of the main things Papa God began to teach me was that: when I get to the end of Soloman…HE is there…HE becomes my strength. As scary as it may sound, I want to be continually at the end of myself so that His glory can be shown in my weekness. That being said, I had some awesome quiet time with Papa God and I would like to share one of my journal entries with you.

At the time this entry was written we had been on the Appalachian Trail for a day and a half after completing a 12 mile jaunt from Neal’s Gap to Woody Gap.

“For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands” – Isaiah 55:12

Oct. 20-something 2016

As I sit here in this old quarry…with the wind whipping across the mountain..the sun shining on leaves of green, red, and gold…I can’t help but be in awe of my Papa God. In Acts 2, Holy Spirit is decribed as the sound of a mighty rushing wind. Watching these trees sway back and forth (as if they were dancing) and crying out testifying of how good our Father is…seems to illustrate the beauty of worship. It was as if I was watching His spirit literally give life to what most would consider stiff, lifeless objects. It occured to me how much it must delight my Father’s heart to see his creation come alive in praise before Him. If it delights my father to see the trees sing out and clap before Him, then how much more delighted is He to hear His beloved sons and daughters sing and clap in thankfulness and joy? Father, you are truely glorified by all things….Everything points to you.
