My Team: CAYA.
Come As You Are.
My team consists of five gals and one fabulous leader that are each so wonderfully unique. Abby, Camille, Lacie, Sarah, myself, and our Team Leader (TL) Maggie.
The name for our team came about during our first full week here, before team names were something we were even trying to brainstorm. Maggie shared with us that while on her own Race last year she was feeling a passion for women’s ministry and had the phrase “Come as you are” being spoken over that passion. As if that couldn’t already be sweet enough, she shared how perfectly she felt that we, as a team, embodied that phrase. And I don’t think she could be any more right about that. Each of us are entirely different and, to be honest, going into this I was nervous about how it was even going to work but boy was I underestimating the Lord’s ability to make all things beautiful. We each have such different backgrounds, different stories, different experiences, different outlooks on life, and different walks with the Father. But, we all share this beautiful heart for the Lord and His people that we get to see more of in each other every day.
Now, I would like to add that while I absolutely love my team, it’s very easy to make it seem like it’s all giggles, sunshine, and happiness and while that’s a majority of our time, life is still hard here and we all still go through things. I think one of the most beautiful parts of my team’s dynamic so far is how we love each other through the nitty gritty things, sharing our stories and hearts and thoughts with each other and being able to hold those so gently and walk each other through it. I’m really excited to get to watch these ladies blossom and to get to walk through this journey with them.
We each came as we were and we continue to show up as we are, each day. And that will always be enough.

Mi Equipo: CAYA.
Come As You Are. (Ven Como Eres.)
Mi equipo consiste de cinco mujeres y un líder fabulosa cada una tan maravillosamente única. Abby, Camille, Lacie, Sarah, yo, y nuestro Líder del Equipo (TL) Maggie. El nombre para nuestro equipo sucedió durante nuestra primera semana aquí antes de que nombres para el equipo fue algo que estuvimos pensando. Maggie compartió con nosotras que mientras ella estuvo en su propio viaje el año pasado sentía una pasión por el ministerio de mujeres y tenía la frase “Ven Como Eres” en su mente sobre esa pasión. Y si eso ya no era lo suficientemente dulce, compartió lo perfectamente sentía que nosotras como equipo expresamos esa frase. Y creo que ella es absolutamente correcta. Cada una de nosotras somos completamente diferentes y con toda honestidad al llegar aquí estaba nerviosa por cómo iba a funcionar pero wow estaba subestimando la capacidad del Señor para hacer todas las cosas hermosas. Cada uno de nosotras venimos de sitios diferentes, tenemos historias diferentes, hemos vivido experiencias diferentes, vemos la vida diferente, y caminamos con El Padre diferentemente. Pero compartimos un bello corazón para El Padre y su gente que podemos ver más y más cada día.
Ahora, quiero decir que mientras adoro a mi equipo, es muy fácil que parezca que todo es risas, sol, y felicidad y aunque eso es la mayor parte de nuestro tiempo la vida todavia es difícil aquí y todas todavía pasamos por cosas difíciles. Creo que una de las partes más hermosas de la dinámica de mi equipo hasta ahora es como nos amamos a través de las cosas esenciales, compartiendo nuestras historias y corazones y pensamientos entre nosotras y poder tomarlos con tanta suavidad y caminar juntas a través de eso. Estoy muy emocionada de poder ver como estas mujeres van a crecer y caminar por este viaje con ellas. Todas vinimos como éramos y seguimos viniendo como somos cada día. Y eso siempre será suficiente.
