If you are reading this post I want to start by saying THANK YOU! Thank you for showing your support. I thought my first blog should be explaining how this all happened and the emotions happening.
It started with a message and a feeling. I had just received a message from a friend that I had not heard of in over a year. This in itself was strange, however, I was not the weirdest part. As we began talking more and more I told her that I felt as if I were called to more then just the life I was living. I had always wanted to do a missions trip but never felt the timing was right. She began to talk to me about her experiences and it opened up my mind to possibilities I had never thought of. I begin to pray about these feelings I was having. I simply said, “Lord, if this is what you have planned for me then let it be done.” Of course, He answered me by me hearing that I had been accepted to the World Race Gap Year.
I am so excited, and nervous, to be starting this journey. I know that God is going to use me and the other people in my group to touch the lives of others and show us His will and His way. There is a lot that I don’t know, but I trust that God has me in His hands and He will guide and protect me along the way. Thank you so much for reading the first of many blogs to come!
