God never ceases to amaze me. He shows himself in so many more ways that I never could have imagined. I used to think He was the God of big things but now I know He is also the God of the little things too. It starts with us, his beloved children, listening and being obedient then He comes in and handles the rest.

This week God moved in lots of little ways. My team and I went walking around our town to see who the Lord wanted us to speak to. One day it led to us buying flowers to pass out to whoever God wanted us to. It was a conversation starter and also brightened their day. We saw God work that day. We saw Him in the smiles on women’s’ faces as we handed them a flower and told them they were beautiful. We saw Him in every hug that was given to us. We saw Him in the awkward conversations we tried to have since our Spanish is not very good. He showed us that even with a language barrier, He can use us to touch peoples hearts.

My personal favorite little thing that showed God was when I gave a little girl a flower and she got so excited, her mother too. They both had the most beautiful smiles. The mother picked up her little girl so that she was at my height. She then gave me the sweetest kiss on my cheek and let out the most joyous laugh. My heart was beyond full. I often think back to all of the women’s’ faces and I am reminded that God is so good. He is moving in their hearts and using us to remind them that they are so loved by their father. He is the God of every small thing, but also big.

The biggest moment this week that I will never forget as long as I live is the woman after God’s own heart. We asked the Lord where to go and He led us right to her. We came up to her window and began to talk to her about herself and getting to know her more. Afterward, a girl with my team began to speak life over this woman. She began to cry. She was so overwhelmed by the Lord’s presence. She then decided to invite us into her home, offer us what she had, and wanted to hear more of what God had to say to her. I will add this. Before we started to ask the Lord to show us what it is He wanted us to see. He showed me a welcome sign and the color yellow, he showed Charlie salt, Evelyn saw blue, Ana and Mars both saw a gate. Here is where God really was seen. We felt led in a certain direction. We came upon the woman. She lived in a yellow building with a gate up where she sells from her store. She was wearing blue and as soon as we walked into her home there was a huge sign that said welcome. It was amazing! We came into her home and she began to open her heart and let God pour into her and He reminded her that she is His beautiful daughter and He sent us to tell her that. She then told us we were angels and to continue listening to God’s word. God not only used us to speak to her but used her to speak over us. After an hour or so of being there, we prayed for this amazing woman and came back home.

I tell you these stories to remind you that God is still almighty and powerful. He can do all things and He is still making big moves. He is still healing peoples’ lives and restoring hearts. My God that is here doing great things is the same God back in the states with you all. God can do amazing things in your life if you let Him. He wants to love you and remind you that you are His beloved children. All that you have to do is open your hearts and listen to His voice because I promise He wants to talk to you.
