Less than two weeks ago the entire squad met up in Bangkok, Thailand to spend New Years together, and to have team changes.
It was a nervous excitement in my stomach, because I knew that change was necessary. New team leaders and squad leaders were about to be raised up, and so we sat on the roof top waiting patiently for the long awaited announcement.
The Chainless was no longer. Ekow was asked to be raised up as a squad leader, and Erik and Rachelle were asked to be raised up as team leaders….I mean, duh….if you’ve met any of these three it’s pretty obvious where God was leading them.
The Chainless will forever be a part of my life and family (I have them tattooed on me for goodness sakes)….but this is a new season….a new chapter in my World Race journey.
So team leaders began announcing their new teams. Erik, Rachael, Helene, and Kasey would still all be on a team together….but where was I placed? And then Rachelle began to announce her team….and here I am.
So without further ado I introduce to you:
Team Pneuma
Rachelle Bull
Our fearless team leader. I’ve had the privilege of already spending the last 4 months with this gem. She continues to blow me away with her knowledge and zeal for the Lord. She also happens to be like my little sister. Her laugh is contagious, and her love for others is abundant. I’m so excited to see how God uses her over these months to follow, and how He uses her to speak to me. #getyourJesuson
Alana Van Middlesworth
The amount of laughter that has happened since being around her is juuuust ridiculous….she totes gets me. She is an incredible listener, and genuine down to the core. She asks intentional questions that make you think beyond surface level. I’m so excited to spend the upcoming months with her, and get to know her even more!
Jenny Gage
The very first person I met on V Squad, and the one that was with me when I got my last two tattoos….she even helped create one of them. So needless to say I hold a special place in my heart for her. She is one of the sweetest people I know, and would take the shirt off of her back and give it to you if you needed it. Her love for people overflows, and I’m beyond excited to walk along side of her through this new season of life!
Dara McGraw
She may seem quiet or reserved, but don’t let that fool you for something it’s not. I encourage you to get to know this lady. She listens well, laughs often, and speaks confidently. She is wise beyond her years. Her knowledge of the history and background of the Bible, geography, and life in general is mind blowing….so I’m always learning something new! I’m pumped to get to know her better, and to learn more from her!
Cara Stiles
I first met Cara on a day trip to Chattanooga, TN with Jenny. Her personality was energetic, outgoing, and just plain hilarious. I knew then that I would like this chick. Beyond that, she has this gift of really mentoring others and speaking truth into them (that’s right, Cara….I’m confirming what you already know). She has already shined light into areas of my life that I didn’t even know needed it. She speaks honestly, and loves unconditionally!
Bailie Pedigo
This precious teammate is what I like to call a strong, silent type….and one of the kindest people I think I’ve ever met. If you need a listening ear, she’s the one to go to. She would do anything for anyone at anytime….no questions asked. She has a passion for teaching and children like nothing I’ve ever seen….it would encourage anyone. Not to mention that she’s a former gymnast and cheerleader (just a fun fact)! I’m pumped to get to know this beautiful woman of God more, and see our relationship grow!
