Hey guys!
I just wanted to let you all know my team and I have made it to Albania safely. We started our journey Sunday at 2AM. I flew to Atlanta, Georgia on Friday and stayed in a hotel until 2AM on Sunday. During our stay in Atlanta, we did some more training and had worship sessions every night.
We first flew to Miami and had 11 hours layover there. Part of my squad went to Serbia, so they only had about 6 hours of layover. From Miami, we flew to Istanbul, Turkey which was 11 hours flight. Once we got to Istanbul, we had another 4 hours of layover. The flight from Istanbul to Tirana, Albania was about 1 hour which was great. Our host picked us up from the airport and we got to the place we are staying about 10Pm Albanian time. They’re 6 hours ahead.
Today is our first full day here. For this month, my team and I will be serving at church of Nazarene and also be staying within the church. We will be painting school buildings, playing with kids..etc. I am so excited to see how God will use my team and I to do his work this month. I am very grateful for this once in a life time opportunity I have been given to serve Jesus and others around the world. This will definitely be an exciting and changing 11 months. But, I am ready to make the best of it. Thank you for your prayers and support.
