Hello friends!

We have been in Haiti for two weeks now. The first week we were here we worked with nurses, dentist and a doctor. We traveled to different churches to do clinics in the surrounding communities. The Haitians didn’t only get some of their physical needs met, they also got to hear the Gospel. With the exception of the dentist and the doctor, the rest of the group we worked with were Americans. Their group consisted of nurses, massage therapist, dentist, etc. It was awesome to see them pour out their hearts to the people of Haiti.

After their group went back to the states, we didn’t really get the opportunity to go outside of our ministry site. The area we are in is considered to be pretty dangerous, so it is not easy to walk outside as we please. For the past week ministry was cleaning and organizing the house we are staying in. Something you should know about me is that if I know I can be doing something, I don’t like sitting! This past week we had a couple of days where we didn’t do a whole lot. I found myself feeling frustrated. I told my teammate I don’t want to sit, I want to do something. She asked me, “like what?” I think sometimes I get into this mindset where I consider ministry to be only the times where I am helping at an orphanage, volunteering at a refugee camp, etc.. But, what I need to realize is that my whole life is ministry. Just because I have an hour or two to rest doesn’t I can’t do something that glorifies God. Every second of every day is an opportunity I have been given to live for Him and serve those around me. Whether I am cleaning a house, volunteering at a refugee camp in Greece, or teaching at a bible college in Myanmar as long as I do these things for Him, it is all ministry!

I only have 49 days left on the Race! It is crazy how at times I feel like I have been on this trip forever and other days I feel like it just started. I thought these last couple of months would be easier than others, but in the way so far this month has been one of the hardest months I have had on the Race. Please be praying that I and my squad finish the Race strong. Pray that we stay focused on God and not get distracted by anything else.

Thank you.
