It has been an incredible second month here in Nicaragua. With full hearts we leave Nicaragua and head for Honduras tomorrow.
All squad month has been fun, challenging and rewarding. It is all thanks to you, my supporters. All together including my squad, our supporters raised over $500,000! We are privileged to be here! Something I remind myself and the 29 other squad members I walk alongside throughout this journey.
I am most thankful for all my financial supporters during this season of my race. Instead of stressing over raising the remainder of my funds I am sitting comfortably knowing God has and will provide the remainder.
John Piper often says that we have three potential responses to the Great Commission: “Go, send, or disobey.” You are the senders. Whether it be $20 or $1000 you are following Gods’ commands. You matter to me and you matter to Him. I thank God for all who have obeyed and all who bless me by supporting my journey.
“For they have gone out for the sake of the name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. Therefore we ought to support people like these, that we may be fellow workers for the truth.”
3 John 7-8.
Thank you for supporting me. Thank you for loving me. Through this journey we together are furthering the Kingdom. Paul writes about the importance of the senders. You are equally important and equally involved in the building of the Kingdom.
This month has been a difficult yet wonderful learning experience with my entire squad. All squad month is where 30 of us, C Squad, work together, live together and learn together. We’ve been living in Chinandega, Nicaragua at Vision Nicaragua headquarters. This community is made up of several villages, beautiful volcanoes and kind hearted people and children.
It has been a privilege working and walking next to all who serve and live here. We have served in so many different ways this month: by playing on the street with kids enjoying face painting, games, stories and football(soccer). Singing, reading and helping kids earn scholarships in schools. Evangelizing, praying and loving on people throughout the community. We have traveled to more schools, churches, towns and communities than I can remember.

We’ve had the best transportation experiences on the back of trucks. Maybe moms out there wouldn’t be excited about this form of transportation but I found it most enjoyable. Able to see and soak in the true glory and beauty this area has to offer. Full of life, color and some of the most beautiful scenery. Please pray Vision Nicaragua is able to pay or receive new trucks as they are much needed.

Weather was HOT HOT HOT! Chinandega is known as the “arm pit” of Nicaragua. We are literally in the hottest city in Latin America during one of the hottest months of the year. I’ve learned to enjoy cold showers and be most thankful for them!
The people we’ve been blessed to work alongside will be dearly missed. The community of Bethel is a family. They welcomed us as family and are sending us away as family. Together we watched 120 people in the surrounding communities give their lives over to Jesus! This calls for celebration! As a family we celebrate here in Vision Nicaragua and I know you celebrate at home as well.
I also celebrate that I am nearly fully funded! If God has put it on your heart to help support me this would be the perfect time. Thank you again to all who are and have supported me through my journey! I can’t wait for us to continue the remaining 9 months together.
“Just Did It” a shirt Ana, a new sweet friend from Nicaragua, gifted me with. I will remember every time I wear this shirt the family I made here, the kids I loved here, what we did here and what God is still doing here.
