I can hardly keep my skin on I am so excited!!! In a matter of minutes I am expecting a few of my squad mates to knock on my door so I can meet my new family members for the upcoming year.
Myself and three other ladies who live in NC are meeting at my apartment to make our way to training camp. Camp is located in Gainesville, GA. I’m not completely sure what I am going to be doing while there. But that’s the way Adventures in Missions likes it. And I’m okay with that too! I’m a big planner so I am stressing a little about what to pack and what is to come.
This training camp will last 10 days and all I know is to come packed and ready for anything and everything. Which I am! The only hints they have given us is to bring our “best dance moves”?! Confused about that one. Also to prepare for a two mile hike with all of our belongings strapped to our backs. (Let’s just say I enjoy running but not with 50 pounds on my back). And camping!? I have NEVER EVER EVER been camping. My family is from Southern California and we don’t even know what camping means. I am excepting to not shower for a few days, wear the same clothes and probably get a little dirty. This should be interesting and smelly.
My squad, which is named C-Squad, have only met via the internet and I can’t wait to finally meet who I will be working and walking with all around the world. (Also a little nervous)
Wish me luck as I venture to meet new people, visit new places and probably get a little smelly.
Thanks again for everyones love and support! See you in 10 days!
