So yeah, I couldn’t come up with a good title for this blog. It’s mostly just an update on how life is going in Albania. I love it here! I really mean that. Do I miss home? Of course. Do I miss Starbucks? Obviously (if you have to ask that question you don’t know me). But do I feel completely fulfilled here? Completely. I have zero doubt that this is where God means for me to be, and that is the best feeling in the world.
So, a normal day in Kombinat looks like this: I wake up at 8am and start the coffee. By the time the coffee is ready, breakfast is usually set up. We eat at 8:30ish. Then we spend the morning going to coffee shops, making jewelry, and just chilling. We have sandwiches for lunch, and then do various things in the afternoon. Some people teach English lessons, while I teach piano lessons on Monday and Thursday. Caleb teaches guitar. Usually there are more runs to go get coffee, pop, ice cream, snacks, etc… We meet people, play with kids, and just chill. On Saturdays we help with a kids program in the morning, and run the youth program at night. We get to give a message, play games, and lead worship. On Sunday mornings we go to church, and one of us usually shares a brief testimony for the congregation.
One thing that always amazes me is the joy of the people here. Even though most people don’t have a ton, they are some of the nicest and most joyful people I have ever met. There are two ladies who work in the kitchen, and they are always glad to see us. They usually practically force us to sit down and eat until we are full. Full is exactly how I feel here. Physically, spiritually, and emotionally full. This is a huge blessing.

I am still in need of about $1000 more to be fully funded. Would you prayerfully consider helping me reach my final fundraising goal? Love you all and miss you. God Bless!
