I wanted to designate a post to introduce to you my team, community, and family for this coming year. I am extremely thankful for God’s hand in the entire group deciding process and cannot wait to share some amazing experiences this coming year with these incredible people.
After a long process involving many suggestions and fun ideas for the name of our group, in the end we decided upon the name, Deep Roots. The name Deep Roots comes from our vision and desire as a group to not only remember where we come from and who we represent, but also the type of ministry we long to have on the World Race. Deep Roots speaks of our need to be grounded and solid in our belief, love, and character in God, thus allowing us to mirror Christ to the nations. The name also represents a growing process and a desire to be stretched this coming year as well as come along side others around the world and help nourish and deepen their roots.
Please be praying for all of us this coming year that we would quickly grow into a unified team, that we would be a group full of grace and patience for one another, and more than anything that we would be able to encourage one another and help each other grow in our relationship with God.
