I didn’t get to blog as much as I wanted to in Mozambique because of the wifi situation but here is a video of some of the things we did. Our ministry was walking around the villages praying for people and cooking and cleaning for our host, Tienie. We also had some adventure days at the beach and Dana aka D-Money got baptized!

Our month was very slow, we had about two hours of ministry a day and a lot of free time. I saw miracles. They weren’t seeing the dead raised or the lame walk or HIV being cured, but I saw the hearts of my teammates break down and be restored by the love of Christ. I saw a community that was so sick and poor an entire generation was missing, being the hands and feet of God and caring for each other.

Guija taught me that ministry isn’t always building things or being busy. Sometimes ministry is sweating with your teammates on the tile floor in 115 degrees. Sometimes ministry is just sitting in the front yard of your host’s house and praying over the locals. Sometimes ministry is going to church and eating a meal the members cook for you with the very little food they have. And sometimes ministry is going to the beach resort and marveling at God’s most beautiful creation: air conditioning.
