Last Winter I had the beautiful opportunity to spend two months in India on what initially set out to be a birthday vacation/international journey launch but turned into a heartfelt missionary seed that flourished and changed my life, my perspectives and my vision in such a Godly way. I was so blessed to experience first hand the lifestyle of a divine friend of mine who is actively serving in the missions field of Mumbai long-term. The organization, ministry and host family that she has partnered with welcomed me in the most loving way but above all they taught me how to love, pray and worship God through service with compassion in the most selfless of ways.
While there I witnessed extreme levels of poverty, lack and overpopulation on a level that was difficult to process as an American. Gratefully I was able to assist in meeting the needs of feeding young children in various slums in India as well as working alongside teachers in helping to facilitate learning tools for those children whose parents have lost hope and dignity that usually results in keeping them out of school. I was also able to travel as well as pray with a missionary dentist who serves through providing free dental services to women and men who are actively working in the commercial sex industry, and I was able to assist administratively as well as in operations with local NGO Vision Rescue.
My heart has been forever changed and I believe God is calling me to the missions field. It is my desire to be a part of spreading hope all over the world through international outreach and begin to take action steps full of faith and resist my areas of fear by going into unfamiliar territories abroad and embrace radical ways of spreading the gospel through the “World Race”.
I am grateful that God has chosen me and opened such a platform for me to be used, but I need your continual love, prayers and financial support. It’s my desire that God will touch the hearts of many and make a way for me to leave fully funded in September 2015 with the full $16,267 raised but for me to participate and to attend training camp, I’ll need to raise at least $3,500 by June 27, 2015.
If 100 people would prayerfully consider to commit and contribute at minimum $160.00 as a 1 time donation, or in 3 installments totaling $160.00, my fundraising goals will be met!!!! Donations given through this blog site or by check are tax-deductible.
