Welcome to the launch of my blogsite! I am excited to begin this journey toward my World Race leaving this September.  If you are reading this, I am already thankful for you as my cheerleaders and advocates for this journey.  I am SO excited!

 
I have been accepted to the World Race missions program… a crazy, intense, 11-month journey across the world, literally.  Starting in September 2012, I will be leaving for a year to live among the people of multiple countries and share the love of Christ that I have been given.  You guys, I can not explain how EXCITED I am…!!  My overwhelming prayer has been, "Lord, show me the world and make me a servant to all so that You might be glorified through me."
 
I am ready…  Ready to step out of my comfort-zone, and be exposed to what God is doing in the world.

What is The World Race?
The World Race is an 11-month mission trip around the world. It encompasses many different aspects of ministry: evangelism, deliverance, healing, building, community support, church planting, etc. as led by the Holy Spirit. We will partner with local ministries while in each country to be most effective in what we do.

Where?
Most routes are advertised as going to 11 countries. I will be traveling on September Route #2 which includes 12 countries from Central America, Africa, East Europe, and Asia. Here's the list:

  • Thailand
  • Cambodia
  • Vietnam/Laos
  • Tanzania
  • Mozambique
  • Swaziland
  • Dominican Republic
  • Haiti
  • Moldova
  • Romania
  • Ireland

But… I need your help, dear ones:
 
The World Race has asked that I raise $15,500 total for this amazing year.  Seems crazy, but hey, sometimes we have to take crazy risks to watch God provide!  They will let me fundraise throughout the year I am away, but I am setting an even crazier goal to have all funds raised & pledges made BEFORE I leave in September.  Yup.  I would love to have the ones I love most be the ones to help me on my race!
