I am a failure.
But it's okay, because it's good.
Taking risks often leads to failure, but when you take no risks, you will never succeed. Stop playing God and step back. Let Him come through for you and know that the only way the impossible can be fulfilled is through Him. Then He will be glorified because you will see His miracles, and even if you fail, you trusted.
Some moments carry with them the capacity to shape a lifetime, and this is the challenge that comes in those moments. The greater that moment's opportunity, the greater the risk required. This reality is fundamental to the Christian faith. To have the life that Jesus Christ offers us, we must in that moment commit ourselves to die. If we are unwilling to die to ourselves, we are unable to receive the life that only God can give.
If we want to live life to the fullest, we must be willing to trust God and risk everything. You cannot fail without risking. If you have never failed, it might just be possible that you have never risked.
Failure is the context for miracles. We all want miracles, but we try to avoid needing them. But only sick people need healing, only people who are blind need to see, only people who are deaf need to hear. Wouldn't it be great to be Lazarus experiencing the power of God raising you from the dead? Of course, there's a downside. You have to die for this to happen.
I know that God respects the risks I take for Him. I know that He appreciates them. I can't risk and guarantee safety. The center of God's will is not a safe place, but the most dangerous place in the world. God fears nothing and no one. God moves with intentionality and power. To live outside God's will puts us in danger, but to live in His will makes us dangerous.
Yes, I AM A FAILURE. But God sure isn't.
