Hi friends and family! I write this from Ngaramtoni, Tanzania. Where is that, you may ask? It is a small village about an hour outside of Mount Kilamanjaro. We are working with a man who has never had American guests before. The Tanzanian people are so hospitable and loving. From the get-go, they constantly remind us to live "hakuna matata," with 'no worries.' Life will be interesting here in Africa. It is definitely more primitive…
Squatty potties 🙂
Lots of ugali, some green spinach stuff, and red curry
Dusty roads
Beautiful children with ripped shirts and shy smiles
I will try to keep you up to date, but my internet is very limited, as are other modern amenities!
But this is the adventure… of The World Race, baby!
I am safe and healthy, and thankful for a new culture. The Maasai tribe, safaris, and lots of Swahili.
Love you all!
Shelli
