Meet Team Free Rivers! Within our squad of 15 people, we have three teams. These are the people with whom we share living quarters, serve with, and love most intentionally every day. Our teams will switch a few times this year so this is my first. And this week is our first team trip together!
We are traveling outside of our regular ministry in Medellín this week as a team. In fact, as I write this, we are sitting at a bus stop in.. well I’m not quite sure. I’m still grasping my bearings from the tipsy-turvy bus ride through the Colombian mountains. But with a raging river down the hill to our left, arepa aroma ahead, and my team’s quiet the only noise I’m tuning into, it seems the most opportune time to tell you about Free Rivers.
Meet Cyntya, our courageous leader. Cyntya speaks truth, in love. She leads with vulnerability. She is intuitive, authentic, and kind. She seeks authenticity, and challenges us to do so as well. Her presence is safe.
Here’s Sierra: she is focused, and not of this world. Sierra’s sights are set on higher, and she fixes her gaze on God’s truth. She holds so much kindness, it can be seen boldly in her eyes. She seeks deeper relationships, and her presence is calm.
Di/say “Hola, Amanda Ruth.” She is adventurous, imaginative, and bold. Amanda Ruth is a dreamer, who carries grace. She desires peace, and empowers us all to look past diversity and blockades. She is a loyal friend, and her presence is bright.
Here’s Quynn: Quynn is honest and giving. She enjoys the simplest things in life, and sees innate beauty & depth in everything. She invites others to come as they are, and leads in such. Her presence is relaxing and invigorating.
They’re ABSOLUTELY STUNNING, I know! I ‘m thrilled to learn and grow together over the coming months. This week specifically, can you pray for The Free Rivers? For safety, health, and that we truly get to minister to one another. Saturday we will head to our first Debrief with our entire squad. I’m praying we all come back together united and bolder, with tons of amazing and hilarious stories in-tow.
