Humans, pets, friends & family, people of earth… Hello! It has been a very long time and I apologize for that. Blogging is not my strongest form of communication, but I am going to actively work to change that.
Here is a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped financially support me, and I am OFFICIALLY FULLY FUNDED!!!! The next five months on the field are already paid for and it is all thanks to YOU!
Okay, so… here’s the deal: the World Race is whack. Over the past few months I have done everything from being pooped on by a small child, to participating in a women’s rehabilitation program, to laying a floor for a church, to handing out bread to the homeless, to working in a refugee settlement, to going on a safari!
So far, I have been to Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Spain, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, and Malaysia. I am currently in Singapore!!!
We white-water rafted on the Nile River, attended a soccer match in Medellin, Colombia, and had Harry Potter movie nights as a team. I have hiked Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain as well in Peru.
I am part of a new team: Team Dandy-Lion. It is an all-women’s team! The other ladies on it are Mollie Jewett, Abigail Jernigan, Rebecca Harper, and Tori Field. We are an awesome powerhouse, and I love them very much!
I have met a huge number of amazing people on four different continents, and I have seen Jesus in all of them. I have watched other people dive into Jesus, and I have gone as deeply as I ever have with Him.
I have seen some of the lowest points life has to offer and some of the absolute best. I hope to, over the next couple months, elaborate more on some of the more special moments during my time thus far on the World Race…
For now, I just wanted to say “hello!”
We have made it all the way to Asia, and I am really looking forward to see what God has in store for us in over the next five months.
A few quick prayer requests that I have until my next blog are as follows:
>The healing of Tori’s foot.
>Guidance & provision during this month’s ministry, and that God prepares the hearts of those we will encounter.
>Spiritual protection for our team (we have undergone spiritual attack in the previous months).
>For a season of joy, happiness, & fun for Team Dandy-Lion.
>For the salvation of Frankie (a Malaysian man we worked with that is open to knowing Jesus, but is unsure of Jesus’ identity as our Savior).
>The continued healing of the women from the refugee settlement.
