Our Squad Story Leader challenged us to share a page out of our journals.
This journal entry was written on the patio of Kids International Ministries on the same day that my Mamaw had back surgery on the other side of the world.
The inspiration for this journal entry came from Cory Asbury’s new album and specifically his song, “Your Love Is Strong.”

Oh, Jesus, Your Love is so strong.
It’s stronger than any of my fears. Your Love is so strong that it cares for my tears.
Your Love is stronger than my thoughts and what’s in my mind. Your Love is stronger than any I can find.
It is stronger than any injury or sickness and it’s stronger than all of my weakness.
Its stronger than any deformity. It’s stronger than any messed up part of me. Your Love is stronger than any other love I can see.
Your Love is stronger than any ounce of unbelief. It is stronger than any of my grief.
Jesus, Your Love is stronger than my love. Jesus, You love me despite what I’ve done, despite what I’ve made myself to be. Your Love has called me to greater things beyond what I can see.
Jesus, Your Love is stronger than my love for the nations. It is only Your Love that brings salvation.
It’s not my love that makes the ultimate difference but your love flowing through me. It’s that love that I want them to see.
Jesus, Your Love for my Mamaw is so strong. I can’t help but think of her when I hear this song.
Your Love for every fiber of her being is stronger than any Love I can bring. It was songs about Your love that we always used to sing.
My love for her may be great but Yours is so much greater. For crying out loud it was You who made her.
Your Love is the strongest love by far. It flows so purely from the origin of who You are.
I will try with everything in me to love like You, by showing Your Love in everything I do.
Jesus, Your Love is so strong.
I rest in that love.
Your Love is so, so strong.
