Absolutely no one is too far gone for God.
You see, all over media people are being captured by God’s love.
Kanye West.
Demi Lovato.
Justin Bieber.
And so many more.
They are being ridiculed and hated on for their quick and unexpected transformation. They are being judged for their past and spoken over that they are not really saved. People are saying it’s fake. People are saying it doesn’t make sense. People are saying it’s all for a show. People are saying it will go away soon.
And so many of these people who are ridiculing them are Christians. They are people who claim to love God and love people.
But friends, why are we so quick to judge them? Do we not remember our dear friend Paul from the Bible? Who literally had a NIGHT and DAY transformation. Who was radically changed and people literally did not understand how someone could go from killing Christians to RADICALLY proclaiming Jesus everywhere he went. This dude had a scary past but that did not stop him from being completely BOLD for the Kingdom. God won him over.
His past did not hold him down anymore. It became his testimony.
We serve an unexplainable, all powerful God. He doesn’t leave people the same. He leaves them transformed by love. He is God. He has no limits on who and how He reaches people.
It breaks my heart to see how people are responding to people like Kanye West, Demi Lovato, and Justin Bieber.
People have been assuming that their salvation is “fake.”
Is it because they are in the public eye and their mistakes are highlighted to the world? But shouldn’t that be EVEN MORE of a testimony of the power of God and His love!?!
For real.
Kanye West hardly ever made songs without an explicit sign on them, Demi Lovato was chained to addiction, and Justin Bieber was constantly drowning himself in the party lifestyle.
BUT GOD. He won them.
His presence changed their heart of stone and turned it into a heart of flesh. Kanye West said it best when he was interviewed.
They asked him:
What would he say to people who did not believe he was actually transformed by God’s love?
And this was his response,
“It’s like being asleep and being awake. They are two completely different things.
When you are asleep, wouldn’t you agree that you are asleep?
When you are awake, wouldn’t you agree that you are awake?
People without Christ in their heart are like the walking dead. They are asleep.
But this the awakening.”
Cmon Jesus! The church needs an awakening. And when I say church I am talking about you and me. I am talking about all of us who believe that Jesus is the Lord of our lives. We are the church. So, do we really believe what the bible says? Do we really believe we are called to go out and proclaim the good news? Do we really believe we should take in the widows and orphans? Do we really believe we are suppose to love all of our neighbors? The drunk one? The snobby one? The weird one? Do we believe this?
Romans 12:9-10 says it best, “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves”
word.
So let’s CELEBRATE! Y’all already know Heaven is!!!! 🙂
with love, Shelby
