Hello Friends and Family.

As a lot of you know, this coming January I will be leaving the US and traveling all across the world on an 11 month journey.  Each month, my team and I will be journeying to a new country.  So at this point you might be wondering why is she doing this?  When I was 16 years old I went on a trip with my youth group to New York City.  There we met and had so many conversations with people experiencing homelessness throughout the city. We played games together, prepared dinner together, and fellowshipped.  This week was my first mission trip and it changed my life.  This week was the week I felt God’s call on my life towards missions.  Since my trip to New York I have had several opportunities to travel to different areas of the United States, Haiti, Mexico, and the Bahamas, learning about missions and about who God is.

I am so excited for the opportunity to travel into different cultures and communities.  The countries I will be  going to include: Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Ireland, Romania, Bulgaria, and Moldova.

Over the next few months I will be posting updates on this blog so please feel free to subscribe your email for updates if you would like to follow my journey.

As I take this huge journey of faith I would like to invite you to join my team of supporters, praying for me, the group I will be traveling with, the countries we are going to, and all of the people we meet. Another way I would love to have your support is through a financial donation.  You are welcome to donate online by clicking the “Support Me” tab under my picture or send checks into: Adventures in Missions, P.O. Box 742570, Atlanta, GA 30374-2570.  If you write checks, please make checks out to “Adventures in Missions”, with “Shelby Sawyers” in the memo.

I am so thankful for the various ways you all have impacted my life up to this point and I cannot wait to share my future journeys with each and every one of you.  If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

With love,

Shelby Sawyers
