Month 5: Malawi. We partnered with African Bible College. We helped the teachers in preschool, elementary, and middle school. We ran a malaria clinic that 100 children visited–85 of whom tested positive for malaria and received medication. We fundraised the building of two homes (through the organization HOWMs – housing for orphans and widows of Malawi). We visited a local orphanage – Children of the Nations Orphanage – where I met Thomas and Caleb who forever stole my heart (they are featured in this video). We hung out with the middle school youth group and high school Young Life groups. And we went to villages and had dance parties.
