Over the last 6 weeks, I have been working, living, and doing 24/7 life with my new team, The Lumineers! We’ve already grown so much together as a team and I want to spread the joy by introducing you to them!
The Lumineers!
Cam Naylor: Cam is our team leader and the epitome of a servant. He is a wonderful mix of spunk and energy mixed with humility and kindness. The desire he has to grow in the Lord is a huge inspiration to those around him, and he never fails to lift us up too in the process. Your heart will melt watching him play with little children and seeing his God-given gifts unfold. Another great thing about Cam? If you want someone to goof around with, he’s your guy, but if you also need someone to talk to, he’s still your guy. I’m grateful to be around someone who will hold my hand while pushing me towards growth.
Lo Acosta: Lo is a soldier, for lack of a better word. This girl has so much fight, I can do nothing but admire her. She’s leader with a huge heart for following what God has for her. Her strength is complemented by her incredibly generous heart. She never hesitiates to buy you a treat if she knows it’s something you love, and will spoil you on your birthday. Lo has taught me how to be intentional when seeking the Lord and helps mellow me out when I have a rotten day. Thank you, Lord, for such a wonderful friend 🙂
Carlos Lopez: The Malik to my Monique–Carlos is my twin! As the squad’s fellow 100% feeler, we completely understand each other….And he laughs at my struggle-ish ways. He is one of the most loving, intentional, and passionate people I have ever met. This month in Malaysia is our Unsung Heroes month, which Carlos is the coordinator of, and I have LOVED seeing his gifts shine. His complete knack for social events and relational interactions is so evident, and I’ve loved witnessing his heart for people…..Not to mention his style is always on point when doing so.
Dustin Michael Minter: Dustin is 1 of 2 old teammates I have the privilege of being with again! He is still his own character and I couldn’t love him more. Dustin radiates joy with his huge smile. He is not only a teammate for me, but also a friend for life. He never fails to ask for a “SB hug” when he knows I’m down and is a great listener. Over the last 6ish months, I have watched him own more and more of his gifts while maintaining his goofball-ness 🙂 God has blessed me by placing me not once, but twice on a team with the tux-wearing guy in a tree (inside joke). Forever thankful for my new big brother who keeps me level-headed with a smile on my face.
Niki Suber: Niki is one of my favorite people to be around. I always leave Niki feeling incredible about myself and usually cracking up. She has the best way of making you feel so good, intriguing, and special when talking to her. I adore her sophistication, patience in choosing her words, and how much she wants to bloom…And once you get to know her, Niki is full of surprises. This cat-loving, Hotline Bling-singing, surfboard-dancing woman is a friend I want around for a loooong time. Like Dustin, she too was on my last team, and I truly thank God for giving me the gift of 4 more months around her.
