Dear family and friends,
Hope this finds you well. Raising finances for the mission field has really been something that I’ve had to grow in. It’s not been easy asking people to contribute given my high value for self sufficiency – but learning kingdom perspective has been a game changer for me. I am asking you to fund my mission trip as a partner of our ministry so that the Gospel can be spread in these countries of the 10/40 window, where the truth of the Gospel, what Jesus did on the cross, is at odds with either a heavy Islamic influence or worldly distraction. My team and I are currently in Osh, Kyrgyzstan teaching English to college students. Outside of class, we share the gospel with them. These smart men and women are looking for truth but the oppression of the societal pressure that they face to adhere to their Islamic faith is significant. It seems to be the case that many had accepted their Muslim faith primarily due to social expectations and family heritage. We’ve been trying to share with the students that my team and I came to our Christian faith through personal decisions to accept Jesus as Lord, after very real searches for truth.
With about two months left on the race, our squad has been given the opportunity and freedom to send proposals to our leadership for places in East Asia to go to for ministry next month. There is currently a proposal being written for a team to go to Japan for the purpose of ministering to those caught in the sex trafficking industry. Through visions and confirmations between multiple squadmates and myself, I feel strongly that Japan is where I should go next month. With that, there are additional funds that will need to be raised and I currently have $1513 left to go for my original route to be fully funded. Here is my big ask: will you prayerfully consider helping me get fully funded for my original route so that Japan may be a possibility?
