Hi all, I’d just like to take the opportunity to introduce you to my team whom I will be doing life with for the next many months on the World Race! Although our total squad is 28 people, we are organized into smaller clusters of 5-6 people for the purpose of expedient travel. I’ve been grouped with some amazing and genuine folks who really have a heart for Christ and for people. Over just a period of days, we’ve bonded through an understanding of each other by relating how Jesus has worked in each of our individual lives. We’re brother (singular, hah. We love you Charles!!) and sisters of diverse backgrounds but have the common thread of having received the grace and mercy of a wonderful Creator God. I thank God for their lives and for this opportunity to live for the gospel together for Him.

Meet Talia: She introduced herself to the squad by video with a real kangaroo. Amazing. And the kangaroo was completely fine with her rocking him/her at a rapid pace albeit in a gentle fashion, signs of expert handling… a pro, you go girl. Talia is from Toowoomba, Australia, is a super witty Sheila (sorry had to), and brings to the team quick, decisive thinking. She is also just so much fun! …a blessing to our team. (Glad my name is easy for you to remember…go Australia!)
Meet Charles: What an amazing brother-in-Christ. From Connorsville, Indiana – at once a caring, artistic soul, and talented athlete, he is able to relate to all whom he meets in efforts to bless them and love on them. At first a man of few words, then revealed to be so funny and loving, it’s been such a pleasure getting to know him. Charles carries a powerful testimony for the glory of Christ and through his actions, demonstrates well the idea of Christians being the hands and feet of Christ. He writes beautiful poetry, is eloquent with his words, and makes himself available to help his teammates and squad mates!
Meet Hannah: She hails from Alabama, has a big heart for others and makes time to reach out in order to bless them. Hannah definitely has a funny bone, love that, and also an administrative gifting that allows her to assess a situation and quickly come up with solutions and game plans to tackle whatever needs to be done. She is zealous for the Lord and her passion for Him can be seen clearly. Blessed to be on the team together, and looking forward to ministry!
Meet Niki – From New Zealand but also having lived in Nanjing, China for 14 years, Niki is our beloved Kiwi on the team! She has an amazing compassionate spirit and carries a nurturing heart towards all those she meets, demonstrating a strong sense of Christ-likeness. Also gifted in artistic sensibilities as demonstrated in music video direction (yay team video), she is a blessing! She is also awesome because she likes United Pursuit (they are the best).
Meet Na Jelly – Where to begin, a fearless spirit with boldness to lead. Coming from Orlando, Florida, Jelly has a huge, caring heart for others, and is not afraid to go the extra mile in order to help someone out. When I think of God as a powerful God, as compared to Aslan from Narnia, I am reminded of Jelly – someone who is not tame, but fierce in love for others. There is power in love, and Jelly just seems to embody that. Thankful to have you as a sister, girl!
