Hi all, I hail from the snow-capped, lush-forested lands of the Pacific Northwest! Actually though, as a more predominant feature of this location, it really just rains all the time with the additional inconvenient caveat that one is forbidden to use an umbrella. Hi, I’m Shela! I grew up in a non-Christian, Chinese-American household in the suburbs an hour outside of Seattle and eventually became a Husky at the UW. Came to Christ at the end of college when a relative invited me to church during a visit to NYC, got convicted by the HS and it’s been quite a journey from there. I go to a charismatic church in Bellevue, WA and have been a part of the affiliated college ministry that stretches to the campuses of University of Washington and Seattle University since 2013! Having studied in the international studies field in college, and having gotten involved in international trade as a career, I’ve long felt called to a life with global purpose and reach. That combined with an interest in the great outdoors in the form of hiking and climbing and the urgency of finishing the Great Commission has brought me to the World Race, Expedition style! This will take SO much faith to accomplish and will require leaving behind the good company of family, friends and coworkers for a time, but like Abraham, disciples are called to go out for His good purposes, to reach the nations. So, Lord – here I am!
