I almost didn’t bring my sewing kit with me on the Race but I’m so thankful I went ahead and threw it in my pack. From repairing rips in clothing to adding cool patches to backpacks, my little ziploc full of needles and thread has gotten a lot of work done in these first 3 months. My favorite project so far is this dress. The crazy print grabbed my eye when we were sorting  Casa Shalom yard sale clothing a couple weeks ago and I decided that with not too much work, it could be a fun little dress. (When you’re on the race, any wardrobe change means a lot.) So, during my spare time, I picked up my needle and thread…

I started by taking it in a couple inches. Then I ripped out the collar, made a new neckline, hemmed it, added a belt I already had and….

VOILA!!! A new outfit!!
