Hello all!

Thank you very much for all of the love and support you’ve shown me throughout the past year as I’ve applied to and planned for my World Race trip. I appreciate each and every one of you and have been amazed to see so many friends and family members step up in support of this missions trip.

As many of you know, my missions trip to the Philippines was scheduled for June of this year and was cancelled due to issues involving COVID-19. I wrote in my previous blog post that I was prayerfully considering the options given us by Adventures in Missions. We had the option to use our funds toward another missions trip within a year, or refund the donations at the donor’s request.

Although it was a difficult and weighty decision to make, I’ve withdrawn my current application to the World Race. There were many factors that influenced this decision. I’d be more than happy to chat with you personally and explain this further- please don’t hesitate to reach out to me via email or FaceBook! I would love to hear from you.

It’s been challenging to see how/why God would seemingly open this door, only to close it again. I haven’t completely figured out the answer yet, but I do believe that God is faithful and that He has a profoundly wonderful plan for all of His children. Although it may look different than I originally imagined, I’m looking forward to seeing how God uses my passion for missions in order to love, encourage, and lead others toward Him! I can re-apply to the World Race again at any time, and I’m going to stay open to the possibility of missions trips through other organizations in the future as well.

Feel free to reach out to the World Race Donor Relations department ([email protected] or 800-881-2461) if you’d like to request a refund  of your donation. If you choose not to do this, your donation will go toward the Adventures in Missions general fund.

Again, thank you so very much for your support. It means the world to me! I’m thankful to have such a strong community of Christ-followers involved in my life.

I hope that you’re doing well and staying healthy, and I look forward to hearing from you soon. 🙂

Take care,

Shea
