Hi everyone!

Welcome to my blog! My name is Shea Morgan and I just committed to the World Race Semesters trip to the Philippines for June 2020. I am so excited that God has led me here and given me this amazing opportunity to pursue His heart and mission and live out His calling for my life!

The purpose of this first blog post is to give you an idea of who I am. So, without further ado…

As I mentioned above, my name is Shea Morgan. I’m 19 years old. I’m a sophomore in college and am studying Exercise Science at UNCC. I live in Marvin, North Carolina (just outside of Charlotte).

Now that I’ve gone over the basics, here are a few random facts about me:

  • I am the youngest of two girls; my sister and I were both homeschooled by my amazing mother for many years!
  • I’ve been doing CrossFit since I was 14 and I swam in high school. I am very passionate about the connections between exercise and nutrition!
  • I’m always up for an adventure! Especially ones that include hiking, running, swimming, biking, kayaking, enoing, paddle boarding, snowboarding, etc…
  • I like to play worship music on the piano and the guitar as a way to unwind and spend time with the Lord.
  • I love love love working with kids of all ages! I nanny during the summers (and would during the school year as well, but anatomy and physiology is pretty much my life right now) and I enjoy volunteering in the nursery at church.
  • For those of you who are familiar with the Enneagram personality types, I’m a 6 (the loyalist). Myers-Briggs is ISFJ.
  • I sort of have a weakness for Ben & Jerry’s Half Baked ice cream. 🙂

Thanks so much for reading and I hope this helps you to paint a general picture of who I am. I will be posting again very soon, so stay tuned! If you’re interested in keeping up with my posts leading up to the trip, please subscribe for updates

On mission with Him,

Shea 🙂
