Worth Fighting For
I know it has been a little while since I’ve posted.
Somewhere in between fundraising, life news and logistical preparation for the next year I began to get discouraged. This trip is a HUGE : 11 countries in one year serving those in need when there is sooo much need locally and globally. I’m looking around and seeing so many changes happening in the World some good and others too painful to think of let alone speak/write. The temptation to be overcome with fear and doubt is REAL.
They all have one thing in common, they are beyond my control. But what is within my reach are my personal choices. What I chose to invest quality time, money, and effort into. Ultimately, the real question “Is this worth fighting for? “, because if it’s not, let it go. I’m sure you’ve heard; nothing in life is free. So if everything has a cost, that’s life, then you better learn how to spend it wisely.
That being said I choose:
-To fight for hope in a time where darkness screams it’s fiercest.
-To fight for healing when the wounds look beyond repair.
-To fight for love when hatred/anger is the easiest choice.
-To fight for unity when the problems are so tangled/ entwined no one knows where to begin.
-To fight for freedom when the mind and heart wants to give up because staying numb is easier than to engage.
You may not know or believe in me but that’s okay. I believe in something, someone soo much greater and he invited me into this chapter of my life journey. So because I believe in him and he believes in me, “It’s worth the Fight, It’s worth my Fight.”
You may not be able to go out with me but by supporting me financially you are making a choice to Fight. I want to assure you, that it is Worth Fighting For.
Secondly, I am encouraged by the many men, women, and youth that have chosen already to be a continuous embodiment of Hope, Healing, Love, Unity, and Freedom Worldwide. I look forward to joining you and seeing those sparkles of light continue to spread.
