Gratitude
I am thankful for so many that have been choosing to support me this year!! I am now nearing the end of the fundraising journey month 7 in Penang, Malaysia!! There is so much to share, lessons learned, its hard to know where to start:
1.) Your act of giving IS no small thing to me!! Its through moments like these where I get to see God’s hand move and can truly celebrate his goodness to me. There is a quote I heard in a sermon at Jeffery’s Bay, South Africa. Pastor Murray (Face to Face Church) said, “To know God is to know both his greatness and goodness.” In each step, God is allowing me to experience those elements in a deep way.
***Last month fundraising reached $2365, so far this month approx. $905 has come in, leaving a remaining amount of $2495 !!
Malaysia
realizes each country, city, and ministry we stay with is a gift. So we constantly pray and seek to make the most of our time here.
3.) My team, Spades, gets to work in a Children’s home called St. Joesph. It is apart of a catholic community. The home is offset from a busy main street. The drive leading up to it has several Catholic run and community owned Bakery, Thrift-shop, community center, pre-school and church.
The students are mixture of Indian, Malaysian, Chinese and some Thai students ages 5 until 19. Every morning we walk with the older students to school, help organize for the home’s office, and in the evenings help with homework/nightly routine. We share meals with them, bond of over game time, and have been focusing on sharing the importance and power of prayer with them. It’s lead to some very exciting moments because the children are so kind, playful, respectful, and tender heart-ed. Every moment with them is so precious!!
**We are only allowed large group photos with the children. I’ve used more Malaysian street art to represent them.
Please continue to pray and donate to help me continue ministry with World Race!
