I ask, as you read this post to see beyond the words and circumstances presented.

Be open to read it to its completion…

There are some days, weeks or even months where I feel like the things I’m seeing are apart of an ageless conversation. Some themes just sit on my heart and mind that are unmovable. Metaphorically speaking, my eyes have seen before…

It was a dark cold, February, early morning start except I hit the snooze button and rolled out of bed a good 30-45 minutes behind schedule. Now this means I had to rush to groom myself, pack my work gear, pack lunch, grab a bite to eat, let the pups go potty and feed them. Finally, I went barreling out the door to catch the bus!

The bus I catch is one of three that comes to my stop. They are all marked exactly the same and not exactly punctual. So at a distance if you see one, you may think you’ve missed it entirely. Well, that day I was rushing, hit the corner and a bus took off.

I was so sure it was mine but decided to ask before letting disappointment sink in. I turned to three other people waiting at the stop much older than I; two men and a women.

The conversation began:

M-Did the bus come yet?

Old Man– No. You’ve seen us here before. If you see us here now, you should now the bus hasn’t arrived. We catch the same bus simple deduction!

M– You could have simply answered the question.

Old Man- No I couldn’t. I’m a teacher, I see you are a student (referring to my book bag). Learn and don’t be afraid of criticism.

M- I’m tired of bitter older generations.

Old Man- There will always be an older and younger generation. We have the experience, you have the intellect.

PAUSE

This response stayed with me, “There will always be an older and younger generation. We have the experience, you have the intellect”. It triggered 3 big thoughts.

1.) “We have the experience”. I see experience as an invaluable tool when used effectively. The choice is yours to build or destroy.

2.) Bitter older Generations. Its more than just old vs. young it is a poisonous mentality that is contagious and if your not careful you will help it spread.

3.) The world climate is becoming more harsh and more overt which leads to the unconscious solidifying of our heart and minds; suffocating the spirit.

This left me with a question; “How do you counteract conscientiously a sub-conscience effect?” There is a quote a wise person shared with me once which says, “People think they make their destiny. In reality, our choices become habits and our habits shape our destiny.

In conclusion, I believe that my faith in God brings light and breaks the cycle of darkness. The darkness that results in this toxic bitterness. This is the passionate assurance I walk with no matter where I go.

What will you choose?

I pray you decide to support me on this mission by donating.

A donation of $25-100 would help me move closer to the overall goal. I strive to be an open vessel to reflect God’s light in the many place I am able to serve.

Gratefully,

Shea
