Valentine’s Day comes with a mix of emotions. Some love it.
Some hate it.
On the WR it isn’t exactly like we all have the time and
money for that matter to actually go out and do V-day up right according to
tradition or American standards. With that said, this was my Valentine’s Day
and probably, the best one ever!
I woke up this morning to rose petals on the ground of our
apartment. A dozen roses on the kitchen table surrounded by rose petals and
notes for each woman here this month (two teams total 11 girls, 2 guys). – Thanks to the men on our team, Billy and
Brian.
Came home from work to a notes taped to the stairwell and
streamers wrapped around the handle bars. Our dinner was candlelite, rooftop
style complete with flowers, chocolates, individual handwritten notes, cards
placed around the wall, candles on the table and amazing food! Awesome Chicken,
Fresh Garden Salad, Fresh Fruit Salad, Amazing Fresh Green beans with Almonds,
a Sparkling Punch and BROWNIES! All thanks to Lilli, Elaina, Rachel and Kelly.
The night ended with the men of our team, Billy and Brian
singing and dancing to Bruno Mars’ song “The way you are” and Brian reciting an
original poem he wrote. The finishing touch…Ferrero Rochero chocolates, one for
each beautiful woman.
I think God has a way of providing blessing and a night of
joy to all of us on this special day.
