During January I was sick for about 3 totally weeks. I was not able to do much fundraising or blogging during that time as I was laid up on the coach or bed. I am now much better and need to get the ball rolling on fundraising as I only have about 6 months till launch! Wow, 6 months!

As of right now, I have about $2150 that have been promised to me but only a stagnant $220 in my actual account. I still have $14,580 to raise.

February Goals:

  • Get $2000 in my account
  • Find a Sunday School Class to “adopt” me
  • Contact at least 5 churches and set up times to meet with the Pastor or Missions Team as well as possibly speak at several of those churches
  • Contact local businesses to sell Threads of Hope bracelets outside of their business
  • Begin taking orders to sell the T-Shirt I created (still finalizing this)
  • Begin selling my stuff!

As you can see, I have A LOT of work to do this month. I am still trusting in God to provide even though it is frustrating at times to not have more in my account. I would also like to hear back from the approximately 200 letters I sent out.

So, what can you do? PRAY! Pray that I continue to trust that God will provide for me. Pray that those I come in contact with or have already contacted will have a softened heart towards this opportunity and would respond to God’s call for them to give. Pray that local businesses would allow me to sell bracelets outside their buildings. Pray that the churches I contact will be open to this opportunity and allow me to come speak to their congregation and/or Sunday School classes. Pray that those churches would be called to give and that they would trust and obey God. Pray that I am able to raise the $2000 this month.
