$13,425.40
…that’s how much I still need in order to be fully funded! God definitely blessed my account in February though. I started out at the beginning of the month at $224.55 and ended with $1374.60! God’s providing J I just need to trust him. In following with my fellow racer Jessica I have decided to not look at my support account for an entire month. This will not be easy but I know I must do this in order to give control to God and rely on his amazing provisions.
Last month I mentioned several things I was doing to help raise the funds. Here’s a follow up:
Thread’s of Hope Bracelets are doing well. I have sold $400+ which means $200 of that is mine to keep. I am planning on attending a local festival called Boomtown Days to sell the bracelets so please pray that the need/want for the bracelets is high and God comes through in a mighty way. All of these funds will go towards my passport, vaccines, insurance and equipment.
My other fundraising ideas seem to be stagnant. I do not know if this is because of my own trust issues that God will provide, my own “lack of seeking” the funds, or what. If you could please pray for me that would be awesome!
Philippians 4:6
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Philippians 4:19
“…God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”
Pray:
· that I will give total control to God, that I will hear him and trust him no matter how crazy or uncomfortable the situation may be
· that I will seek his word (daily), understand his word, store it in my heart and follow it!
· that he opens doors of churches, small groups, and Sunday school classes so that I may have access to sharing with them “my story” and what God is doing
· that those groups will put their faith and trust in God and provide financial and prayerful support to me and my journey
· that I will have the strength to speak with churches and Christian groups as well as friends, family, and random people I meet like the drive through lady/man and that I allow God to do the talking and not be fearful
· that in the next month I will receive enough funds to not only attend training camp in May but launch in August
· that the fundraisers I have planned (bracelets and shirts) go well and that I will be open to other fundraisers God has in store for me
· that I will receive equipment for the Race (internal frame pack, 35 degree rated sleeping bag, 2 person freestanding tent, ect) because as of right now I have no idea where this is going to come from
I know this may seem like a LONG laundry list but I have realized this past month prayer is the best tool and I have been struggling in it myself. In addition, it is one of the best things you could do for me whether you can financially give or not. If you are a part of a church, small group or Sunday school class, please prayerfully consider sharing this blog and opportunity. If you have questions or are willing to become a daily prayer partner or have fundraising ideas, please leave a comment or message me to let me know.
