This is my life.

Sleeping under the African sky, the stars upside down, new patterns and
designs rising along with the moon.
Lazily cocooned in a hammock, rocked in the cool breezes and reveling in
God’s nighttime glory.  My Ipod blasting
worship music and just dwelling in His presence.

This is my life.

Performing a shadow puppet show against a brick wall with my headlamp to
entertain the village children.  Sound
effects producing much laughter, no words needed.

This is my life.

Sitting in the shade of a mango tree with my team, words of life flowing
from the lips of women devoted to serving the Lord.  Gathering together in times of trial,
struggle, joy, frustration, breakthrough and celebration.  Crying and knowing I’m heard, then laughing
when a mango falls right into Laura’s lap.

This is my life.

Eating nsima and rice with my fingers, singing songs in Chechewa, dancing
with the locals in worship, praising the same God i
n different tongues but with
the same heart.

This is my life.

A four hour drive in the back of a small covered pick-up, eight people,
supplies, and the joy of the Lord.
Cramped legs and sore butts, bumpy roads spitting dust into our faces,
yet compassion and encouragement reigning.
Legs stretched out across laps, adjustments made to accomodate others
and worship songs sung at the top of our lungs… I would not have it any other
way.

This is my life.

Playing soccer with random children, running around barefoot, getting
completely nasty and dirty and loving it.
Bucket showers in the sunshine, rejoicing when we have a toilet that
flushes.

This is my life.

Waging spiritual warfare with my team, praying together in the Spirit,
seeing promises come to pass and prophecy fulfilled.  Being there when my sister needs prayer,
receiving words of encouragement just when I need them.  Seeing the body of Christ work together
exactly how it is supposed to, with every part doing its function and playing
its part.  It is glorious indeed.

This is my life.

Dancing in the rain, singing God’s praises.

Swimming in Lake Malawi, dunking my teammates and being dunked in my turn.

Searching for treasure.

Watching the vibrent sunsets, looking for new colors.

Praying and prophecying over babies in the hospital.

Asking the Lord for new revelations.

Drawing whatever the Lord gives me, fingers dancing across the paper in
rainbow colors.

Yep, THIS IS MY LIFE.

And I LOVE it.
