Armed and dangerous

What does a fingerprint represent?

Individuality.  Identity.  Proof.  Guilt.  Security.  Signature.  

A number of different responses can come to mind.  No two fingerprints are alike, not even twins, every fingerprint is individual and unique.  People are identified by their fingerprints, and in a court of law fingerprints are admissable as evidence, proof of guilt (or innocence).  Fingerprints can be a form of security, even a signature of sorts.

I think of a criminal warrent.  A name, a number, birthdate, mug shot, list of offenses and a set of fingerprints along the bottom.  A description of the criminal, a last seen note and possibly any causes for concern (I know this depiction is accurate because I watch Law & Order).

One day recently, God gave me a picture.  What would happen if there was a warrent out for you as a Christian… from the Enemy?

I feel like it would look something like this:

• Disturbing our plans; 
• Conspiricy to serve the Father, our enemy, with a life of passion; 
• Abandonment of herself to God; 
• Destruction of personal property (specifically, her pride, her will and her selfish plans and desires);
• Guilty of surrendering all the burdens we have placed upon her.

• No sin is found upon her; 
• No image is available, only the Son is seen; 
• No attack is successful, her defense is impenitrable.  
• Last seen kneeling at the foot of the cross.

The mug shot on this imaginary warrent is a picture of the cross.  The enemy cannot see me any more, I look just like Christ because I have been washed in His blood.  Across the bottom of the warrent is a set of fingerprints, my fingerprints, but they do the enemy no good.  See, the fingerprints are out of date, not accurate any more.  Those fingerprints represent the old me, the sinful man.  They are the last reminder of who I once was and the last record of that existance that the enemy has on me.  But I’m not that sinful man any more.  My identity has been renewed and restored.  It’s better than the witness protection program (They can still find you there… Have you not seen the tv show In Plain Sight??).

I personally believe the enemy has a right to fear me, cause I’m a powerful woman of God who is walking free and in the boldness and strength of the Spirit!  He has no evidence to hold against me, and his accusations would hold no air in a court of law, let alone in the heavenly throne room.  I have been equipped for battle… You BETTER consider me ARMED AND DANGEROUS!
