Seeing how some people live here in Nicaraguia has been hard…. to say the least. I would never have thought to let my kids go around bare foot walking through the dump, yet that´s the reality here. Maria, one of the mothers we have met here, lives with garbage all around her. Her family is always sick with respiratory problems and I don´t think they realize that it´s the filth and garbage they live in that makes them so sick, or maybe they know it but can´t do anything about it.

Maria is younger then me and has had three children, but tragicly lost one of her babies to pneumonia. As we prayed and talked to her I asked her what we could do to help, she didnt know what to say. I think the question overwelmed her. I really don´t know what we can do to help her either. I wanted to clean up the place but where do you start? I think they live on top of a pile of garbage so I don´t think they do any more than just put their own garbage outside their door and live amongst it.

“Without vison my people perish.” They need hope and that´s what we are trying to bring to these people;
hope and a vison. Pastor Glen and his wife Lynn Schweitzer are here in Nicaraguia reaching out to so many people here with such great needs. To partner with this ministry email them here: [email protected]
