I have been here in southern India for just under a week and its been great. I am staying at a wonderful place with 25 children that pray and worship God daily. I have met some other great people as well both indian and some westerners around my age. God is so good. I have been learning about bonded slaves and hearing stories about some of the girls that I live with here.
One girl has a medical problem with her digestive system and needs surgery. When her parents realized this they threw her into the dust bin. The founder of this ministry Father Anton found her some how and they are taking her to the hospital to get treatment. I got to hug and pray for this little girl twice already. Please agree with me in prayer for her healing.
Another little girl here was sold for 2000 Rs just around 50 dollars. Girls in India are seen as a burden often because of the marriage dowery and other reasons. I learned about a town not far from here where some wells in the town are designated for disposing of unwanted babies. Often girls are offered to the temples as an offering to be prostitutes. This is looked upon as a good thing to do.
The ministry I’m with is called royal kids. These kids pray for the nations daily and run a TV ministry called angle TV that airs weekly here in India. People call in with prayer requests and often children call in to ask for help. One girl around the age of 7, called in everyday for six months till they went and rescued her from the slavery situation she was in. Over the years this ministry has grown to take care of over 8000 children.
