Tomorrow we are heading to Hong Kong, we will be there for four days then we’ll head to main land China; that is if the Lord allows it. China monitors the internet very closely so we have been told that we are not to go on the world race site. China has been persecuting Christians for a long time, many have gone to jail for years. Please pray that we would be used in mighty and powerful ways.
So I don’t think I’ll post again till we arrive in California Nov 19.
The world race has truly been an adventure of a life time. Looking back to January, starting out in Mexico, I feel like we were just young kids, wearing brand new everything from head to toe, with our parents saying oh look at them so cute. Now we sorta see ourselves as these old veterans that watch the new racers come in as these young new kids. I guess we are kind of like an army out at war.

In Mexico we were fired up and really very gung-ho, lots of cool stuff happened in Mexico, we took a drunk guy off the street and watched God transform him before our eyes. We were very encouraged by that.

In Guatemala we got to hold sick children and babies and sing and pray over them; I still think of those kids when I sing and pray over other kids in other countries all over the world.

In Nicaragua we ministered to the poor people that work and live around the dump, we saw a few more people set free and accept Christ. We started to encounter attacks from the enemy and realize that they really were attacks.

In Peru we did some church planting and ministered to the people in the Andes Mountains. We witnessed and saw more people accept the lord. I will always remember the family in Utupompa that we stayed with, they stole my heart.

Argentina was fun; we had a divine appointment with a local lady, who was a real blessing to us as well. We also had a few other opportunities. We went to the childrens hospital to pray and time to share God’s love with the travelers at our youth hostel.

We whipped around London for a day on our way to South Africa, Amanda and I went to the National Art gallery and I got to see a collection of original Van Gogh paintings, my favorite!!! God is so good to me.

In Mozambique we had an amazing time with the orphans, just playing games and spending time with them. We also got to feed the refugee’s, share the good news and pray for the sick. Many where healed and so was I, God is really good.

Swaziland was heartbreaking and overwhelming at times, we prayed for the sick and dying people of Swaziland in the hospital. They say that 80% of the patients that are admitted to the hospital in Swaziland die. AIDS is killing Swaziland.

In South Africa we painted some murals at a day care, had a divine appointment with a suicidal man at the top of a mountain, prayed for the sick in the hospital during a strike and we had the chance to rest and recharge our batteries at Kent and Shay’s house for missionaries, complete with a prayer room. Minette, Dr G, Linda, Larry and Sarah were all a huge blessing to us.

Mozambique the second time, Amanda, Tana, and I went with Lynn and Michael Loshob, they work with Iris Ministries. Michael took us around to some awesome ministries in Mozambique. Two orphanages and two other ministries that help older orphans reach their goals and dreams. We loved our time in Mozambique, I hope to go back one day, maybe kick it with Heidi Baker.

I love Thailand! It’s been heart ranching to go out to the bars and see what these girls are doing, but so good to know that we serve a big God that cares about these girls and wants to save them, more then we know. I know that God has given me a vision for what I should do in Thailand, so I can’t wait till I get to come back.

Cambodia stole a bit of my heart as well, the poverty is different in Cambodia for some reason it shocked me. I thought I was use to poverty, it really hurt to leave those orphans, and I really love the Cambodian people.

Pictures of Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm.

Now we are off to China and that will be it for my year on the world race. God has blessed me so much and I’ve gotta say, I have enjoyed every day. My mom told me to enjoy every day before I left and I haven’t forgotten that all year. If I was having a hard day I would remember and change my mind set. The devil never got to steal a single day, I just wouldn’t let him.
