I have to apologize to you because this post will not be very wordy with lengthy descriptions about where we have been or what we were doing in India, nor will it have any profound insight into how I am reflecting on my time there. It will mostly be pictures to show you what our month looked like, which I truly hope will provide you a glimpse of what we did rather than using words to tell you. To be honest, I am disappointed in myself for not having posted (or even taken) more photos along this journey. I am a very visual person, being an artist and photographer, and would personally rather see a picture than read a story. We’ve all heard the saying “A picture is worth 1000 words”, and more often than not I find that to be true for documenting my own journey. So I figured I should extend that opportunity to those of you who might be like me! Seeing rather than reading the in-the-moment emotions and laughter and beauty that is captured in a photo. I hope you enjoy the pictures of some of the special memories of my time in India.

We arrived in Kathmandu during monsoon season where flooded streets were a regular occurrence. We got to stay at an organization that brings children in off the street, where we hung out with and love on the kids. The girls had fun doing our make-up and dressing us in saris. One of the projects we were able to complete was painting a flower field on their rooftop.

We met a family in New Delhi who let us live with them and fed us SO MUCH food as if we were family. We got to help them prepare for the Bible School they were starting. They went with us to visit the Taj Mahal, and on the way there we met an Indian celebrity (don’t ask me what his name is though!). We got to dress up in traditional Indian saris and enjoy a night of praying over the students at the new school. This sweet family was a blessing to our team so much more than we could have ever blessed them!
